Inspiration Behind the Football Jewelry Gift Set

Not long after I came across these playful football jewelry settings, I recalled that my mother-in-law's birthday was coming up. I wanted to make her gift this year instead of buying any old thing at a department store. One night I was sitting at my craft table and decided that I was going to make her a jewelry set featuring blue and green colors; to match her favorite football team of course.

Cute football jewelry (or any sports jewelry, really) is hard to find, and I wanted to make her something that showed off her team spirit without overdoing it.

I looked at different colored gems and decided that these lovely, sparkly Swarovski crystals would be perfect to portray the team colors of the Seattle Seahawks. The facets on each crystal reflect the light so beautifully. I kept the necklace simple because my mother-in-law likes to wear layers of clothing, and often turtlenecks, so I thought the chain would add a nice subtle touch while not interfering with functionality.

My son helped me package the earrings, bracelet, and necklace into a nice jewelry box. We wrapped that inside the Seahawks shirt and popped them into a gift bag. My mother-in-law was excited as she unwrapped her gifts. It is going to be hard to top this at Christmas time. Any ideas!?

You can snag your own pair of these earrings here. Not a Seattle Seahawks fan? No worries! I can make this jewelry set in your team colors, like this pair of Green Bay Packers earrings. I can also make these in different metal finishes including rose gold, antique brass, and gold. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to place a special order.

Thank you so much for reading.

#Thankful Thursday

This week I am thankful for my customers. I recently sold a pair of earrings to a customer in Ireland. Someone half-way across the world typed some words into a search engine and found a pair of earrings that I made and purchased them. That is amazing!
Which leads me to being thankful for technology, specifically the internet. Countless people in countries all over the world can connect through a screen...to seek companionship, to conduct business, to learn about other cultures. The possibilities are endless and almost surreal.

What are you thankful for this week?

Things I'm thankful for this week.

This week I'm thankful for my work space. It's nice to have a quiet place to make jewelry, plan in my planner, work on my laptop, and occasionally listen to music from Alexa.

I'm also thankful for my first Etsy order. I even included a handwritten thank you note in the package.

I'm thankful for the opportunity to make and sell my work online. I've sold in person at many shows in the past, and that's a difficult thing for an introvert to do.

What are you thankful for this week?

Hello and welcome!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website! Please accept a virtual cup of coffee and gluten free soy free treats.

I'm a full time working mom to one. I'm a full time online college student. I also have a passion for jewelry making and designing. This started years ago when I grew tired of the jewelry I saw in stores; I wanted to wear something I was proud of so I taught myself how to make jewelry. It started with fixing a bracelet that my husband bought me. Then I started selling my pieces online and at local events. I even made my wedding jewelry! (double strand black lace and black pearl choker, a matching bracelet, dangling chandelier earrings, and a sparking anklet.)

In addition to jewelry I love making cards and collages. I used to make my husband a highly personalized card for every occasion, and I'd really like to get back into that. I'm also planning to make ACEOs (artist trading cards), cards (greeting, all occasion, lunch box notes), and gift tags.

I also have a passion for crafting supplies in general. Sometimes I can't resist a pretty paper or color combination in a bead so needless to say I have quite the collection (hoard?) of jewelry and craft supplies so don't be surprised to see some of these in my shop as well.

I'm so excited to be opening my new Etsy shop. I had one years ago, but I closed it so I could focus on my newborn son at the time. Now he's  a little older, and I teach him how to securely package items for shipping, how to tape on a shipping label, and how to count beads.

I hope you enjoy my designs as much as I do. If you have any special requests please don't hesitate to contact me. I'd be happy to work with you.

Thanks again for stopping by. I hope to see you around.
